I have a VTT PCV that I was going to install but found out my valve cover is cracked. Will I be able to install the VTT PCV on this valve cover?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, the VTT inline PCV valve will fit this valve cover.
Question Posted by a customer
Hi there, do you guys sell a valve cover that we can install and upgraded pcv valve . Or do you just sell the built in one? Thanks guys
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Unfortunately. there are no OE style valve covers on the market that do not include the integrated oil separator. If you're looking to do that on yours by replacing the diaphragm and your valve cover is still in good shape (no cracks, not warped) then there should be no reason not to use the one you already have on hand
Question Posted by a customer
Do you recommend any liquid gasket makers to hold the rubber gasket in place on the valve cover during installation?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There is no need and it's not advisable for other reasons. If the gasket is properly seated in the valve cover it won't move or fall out during installation.
Question Posted by a customer
Whats the difference between the normal pcv and the one this one comes with ?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There is nothing special about the PCV valve in this valve cover. It's a standard part that is integrated (built into) the valve cover and is non serviceable.
Question Posted by a customer
Does this come with the gaskets needed attached to it already??
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes. As noted in the product description.
Question Posted by a customer
Does this valve cover come with a pcv valve? Do I need to purchase it separately?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, it's included as noted. It's an integral part of the assembly.
Question Posted by a customer
If I have an oil catch can am I still able to use it with this valve cover?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No way for us to know without further information as to which catch can/catch can kit you have. But all of the catch can kits designed for the N54 engine are going to by default work with the OE valve cover. As long as you have a kit that is designed with the N54 you will be fine.
Question Posted by Oluseyi
How is this different from the URO brand?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Not sure what you're asking specifically but in terms of what the part is it's the same in terms of the integrated PCV valve, gaskets, etc. However, for this particular part we do not offer aftermarket options due to fitment and material quality issues. This is a pretty complex piece and aftermarket options are generally of very low quality. We do not trust aftermarket versions of this valve cover and as such do not offer it to customers.
Question Posted by stuart
So you can't change the PVC valve with this cover? I can on the original? It's a 2007 335i
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This valve cover features an integrated PCV oil separator that cannot be replaced separately.
Question Posted by a customer
does this include eccentric shaft sensor gasket and valvetronic motor gasket?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No. This valve cover is for an N54 engine. The N54 is the only engine from the N5X engine family that does not have Valvetronic. If your engine has Valvetronic it could either be an N51/N52 or N55.
