Had a pesky slow oil leak on my 325xi, looked like it was from the right side of the engine but was actually the VANOS oil feed line squirting such that oil presented to the front right (passenger side) of engine. Very easy to replace (have to move steering pump reservoir to get to back end of line), use new crush washers and no more oil leak.
