Great Savings & Quality Part
I decided to replace the crankshaft position sensor despite the challenge it presented. Found a couple of good videos on YouTube and took me about 2-hours to complete total. The sensor cured by hesitant accelaration and code P1727. Perfect fit and car runs beautifully again.

that missing 0-ring
Seems I was negligent in not noticing the "recommended" items for the crankshaft sensor where the o-ring is listed as well as the bolt. I checked the bolt part number and it's different from the bolt part number I bought so I will now order the two.

Crank Position Sensor
If you guys are looking to replace this sensor DO NOT buy the onces on eBay (regardless of how different the price margin is). Not sure if you guys notice this but the original version has a magnetic tip if you check yours it should hold on to a metal object and if it doesn't then throw it away. I tested these when they came in and they are magnetic, fits perfectly and worked great.

Happy first time customer
First time ordering from FCPEuro and this part worked as advertised for my e90 N54 335i. Obviously you will need to watch how to videos and have the right tools to get the job done efficiently and save yourself $400+. Don't forget to clear the error code on the ECU before starting your engine; otherwise, car may not work as desired.

VDO CKP Sensor
It's the part I needed, it came quick, shipping was cheap for the speed, and I saved money. I bought my E83 X3 from a friend, after it had been sitting for a year. Long cranks, periods of extremely rough idling from cold start, and intermittent complete brief drops of power, with an accompanying red battery light and P0335 and P1727 error codes. Changed the part in one afternoon, and she drives almost like new again. We'll see how we do on longevity, here, but the other reviews give me confidence I won't be worrying!
