Right part to replace my broken expansion tank cap on my 2008 328i.

While doing the thermostat and coolant flush it's a good idea to replace the cap as well. This one is an OEM part and fit perfectly. I didn't realize mine was supposed to click closed so I'm glad I replaced it.

I do preventative maintenance like no ones business; thus, at the 60,000 mile mark I do a lot of maintenance and inspections while doing it. I've had bad luck with aftermarket radiator and expansion caps. I bought a Febi cap for my 09 328i xDrive, and coincidentally my radiator started leaking through the plastic a few weeks later. I never seem to learn the lesson. I bought this BMW cap to make sure my new N51 radiator would last, took too big a financial hit to do that job again.

As expected from a genuine cap i had no problems. Would definitely recommend! 2006 BMW 330i.
