Installed this to save some money, but the tank failed with 10,000 miles. Hopefully the second will last longer.

purchased May of 2020 and has failed in November 2020... have had a hard time tracking down the continued coolant loss till recently when the failed area of the tank became more pronounced.
always like Behr stuff so I consider this unusual....a replacement is enroute...

Great fit for my Bmw 2011 x5 35i
Perfect Fit for my BMW x5 35i 2011. Easy job and can save you hundreds of $$$. I used snake inspection camera to get to the bottom hose pin. Found a great video on how to replace this part on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmm_BMPTCaU&list=PLErpE8UM9igfsZWrKlsvHLkNPyTaiERp-&index=13

I had the expansion tank replaced when I had the x5 in for starter replacement and the new one leaked from Day 1.
I finally ordered this one from FCP and no more annoying leaks and Topping off with coolant every few days.
Thank you FCP Groton!

coolant Expansion Tank replacement
I bought the BMW Expansion Tank Mahle Behr - SKU: MAH-CRT208000S and it fit perfectly --Dealer quoted $695 to replace the expansion tank, I bought the part for $49.64 and it took about 1 hour to replace. I also replaced the Expansion Tank Cap with part # BMW Expansion Tank Cap - Reutter 17117639021- for $13.29. Easy replacement, my total cost was $76.48 with shipping plus a gallon of G48 50/50 coolant. Very satisfied.

My original tank had a crack in the bottom of it and this was a perfect replacement to correct the issue. Car runs like new now. 2013 X5 with N55.
