I purchased what appeared to be the same trunk strut from another seller with the same brand name. The part number differed but it was supposed to be compatible with the e90. When I installed it, the trunk would bounce at the top of its travel. I then purchased this part from FCP and was concerned it would have the same issue and I would have to buy genuine BMW.
this part performs perfectly and dampens the trunk travel just like original. It's also made in Germany instead of Mexico and comes in a box instead of a plastic pouch. Very happy with my refreshed trunk.

These hood struts are perfect for my BMW e90 sedan since my struts were not working at all. Remember, to get two since this listing is just for one.

Perfect fit. Made in Germany. Same as the original ones, same brand but without BMW logo. My trunk now lifts like brand new.

I owned my e90 for 7 years and just found out the trunk is not supposed to weigh 50lbs.
