I purchased a 20 year-old A6 with 85K mi and the plugs were likely never changed. I was weary about the NGK's dual-leads at the electrode as similar to the Bosch setups. Once I installed the plugs there is a clear change in "pep". Highly recommend.

These are the spark plugs I recommend for your e36. Mine is M52B28 engine.

Fun fact, its OEM for m50tu 525i 1994, excellent!, always used NGKs especially in turbo applications
