Question Posted by a customer
This kit is listed as a fitment for the 1987 325e, however it mentions the lack of reference pins. Is this kit compatible for the 1987 325E etas? Is there an alternative kit to the 325E that makes the conversion do able?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This kit will not work on 325e's that require the reference pins. Valeo does not offer an option at this time.

I have a 2002 330ci and it says it won’t be it but I read one of the reviews and a person used it for his 2002 330ci and said it worked. Will it work?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Two things on the review: Yes, this clutch/flywheel kit technically fits. However, it's the wrong kit for a 330i/Ci. We have never listed fitment for an E46 330i/Ci so not sure why the reviewer would have ordered it. This flywheel kit includes a 228mm clutch disc, which is not the correct size for the higher torque output of the M54B30. While it will work for a period of time I would expect anything other than gentle city driving to cause an undersized incorrect clutch for the application to suffer from prematuire wear. We offer the correct flywheel conversion kit for your application, p/n 52401225. This kit includes a 240mm clutch disc that is correct for the higher torque output of the M54B30 engine.

This is not a review but a question about the fitment of this part. I own a 1999 bmw 323i e46 and to my understanding both e36 and e46 share the same 250G transmission so my question is would this part fit my e46 even though it’s listed as an e36 clutch.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
While the lower displacement E36 and E46 use a Getrag 250 there are slight differences between the clutch components. There is a specific kit for the E46 models which is listed on the site under p/n 52401225.

"Note: Not to be used with Motronic Engine Management system, does not include TDC reference mark." How do I tell if my car has this? It is a 1995 525i 5-Speed
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
It will depend on whether your BMW is equipped from the factory with a DMF or solid mass flywheel. Current info from BMW suggests this is split at 9/1990 but we have seen cars much later have the TDC reference pin on the flywheel.
