Hose does not align - too rigid
Replacing CCV system after removing intake manifold. Used replacement Rein 11617533398 CCV breather hose. Connected to oil separator and left connection at valve cover loose until intake manifold was installed. Unfortunately, the hose did not align with the valve cover port. The hose does have bellows that appear to be designed to be flexible to help alignment. The plastic hose was too stiff and when trying to align the retaining feature on the hose broke making useless. Would not purchase again in the future - does not align!

Old breather hose breathing too much
Old breather cracked leading to crappy running and CEL. This fixed it. Pain to replace but worth it.

I didn't see an 'edit' button on last night's review, so if anyone at FCP can delete it, please do so.
I found my problem, and it was me :) . The hose is fine. Fits just like it should. I had installed the CCV valve incorrectly - I didn't remove the second mounting screw on the valve since the tab had broken off, so the new one didn't go in right.
If you're doing the CCV, please read my review for the insulated version before you start. I lost about three hours chasing my tail.

I changed this while removing my intake manifold because my CCV system was leaking. It fit perfectly and now I have piece of mind knowing it is new, and covered by FCP Euro's lifetime replacement guarantee.
