AC Blower Motor Assembly
Just about to leave for Florida on 12/16 and wife tells me that her blower has been acting up on the X5! We had a 10 hour drive from ATL to Fort Lauderdale. Luckily, it held up for most of the day so we had functional AC as it tipped 80F as we hit South Florida. We roasted a bit during the last few hours, but at least it cooled off a bit as the sun went down. I spent a bit of time researching the issue online on 12/17 and there didn't seem to be any doubt that the blower motor had died. I ordered the blower and a new cabin filter to arrive back in ATL when we returned. The replacement was very easy with the removal of less than 10 torx screws. It's a bit of a pain in the neck and back, but relatively quick and this resolved the issue. Back in ATL, we needed heat and the little woman was glad to have it when she needed it! Only disappointment was to notice that the part was made in China, so knocked off a star for that.
