4.3 amps is the average charging cycle through all modes. Your vehicle can have either a traditional lead acid battery or AGM. Only want to know is to visually look at the battery itself.

Per BMW this will work on all lithium batteries.

In the manual it states that "Frequent use of the Recond program may cause water loss in the batteries and reduce service life of electronics. Contact your vehicle and battery supplier for advice. Has anyone ever reported issues using this feature?

No one has ever reported this issue. It would only be a problem if the battery was bad and could not hold a charge and you used this battery charger to get a charge to the battery.
