Wish there has been more emphasis on these
Every video I watched, nothing was said about the shaft seals other than to be sure you replaced them. Like an idiot , I put them on the shafts to get them put in place . You can't do that. You HAVE TO mount these in the differential first, preferably with a rubber mallet or perfectly sized piece of pvc pipe to get it in square.

Replaced when doing oil pan gasket. I have reused them before but its such good cheap reassurance to replace these.

Ordered this part as supplemental part as instructed on a video I saw online, wasn't necessary to replace, but we did and it worked out nicely.

Worked as good as the Genuine, just have to be more careful installing the axle.

It's important to replace this with your axle. Unfortunately, this part doesn't have the installation/protection piece included like the Genuine BMW part. That said, it's not too challenging to install and will keep your differential fluid from leaking.

Along with the new axles 6000 miles later and no leaks. Good product!

Exact fit, no issues with removing old seals and adding the new ones. Used a screwdriver to carefully remove the old one without gouging or marring the diff opening and a piece of wood to tap the new one into place. Avoid introducing and debris into diff during replacement. Oil will drip out so have some shop towels handy under the opening.

fits perfectly on the front differential. the old ones took a while to get out. and also they come with c-clips for the new axles too.
