Very Poor Quality Alternator.
The first unit I received very poorly packed, moved around in the box and the plastic electric connector socket broke off. The second replacement unit I received, equally poorly packed, made all kind of clicking noise when turned. Third replacement Unit I received - again poorly packed put it in, made the car struggle at idle coming to a stop or stop light. If you hold up the window up button or a second or more than needed the rpms will go wild. This is when I am not even using the radio or fan anything else.... Eventually one day I turned on the car hear a pop, took out my cars screen and fried connection from screen to radio. Sooo I decided it was time to pull this Unit out and almost got a new Valeo unit at $600+ but decided to check out the rebuilt unit from FCP. Right of the bat, the Valeo Unit was almost like brand new. So well packaged for shipping, it was secured in a cardboard cylinder, then in the box so it wouldn't move around. All above issued mentioned gone! and I have never seen a more stable voltage reading. The voltage is soo stable when running or at stop.... essentially stays constant once settled either at a stop or cruising ....
This Bosh Unit cost me at over $1000 + in other parts and labor. Not to mention in all about 5hrs or my time.
STAY AWAY!!

Wish I could give it less than 1 star…
Just my personal experience, but after a little over 3 years of use, the pulley fell off of my alternator while driving down the road. Thank goodness the belt didn’t get shredded. Regardless, I didn’t appreciate being stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow. I’ve NEVER seen this method of failure with any other alternator. I’m not giving a remanufactured alternator by this brand ever again. I guess (in my case) you really do get what you pay for.
