I recently did this kit replacement on my 06 325I at 125K miles. It worked great, as I had only done the belt before nwo and the timing was perfect, my engine needed the complete replacement.

Replace this ESPECIALLY if you have/had oil leaks.
N51/ N52 engines are notorious for breaking drive belts (and eating them.) Its always a good idea to check the condition of your drive belt and pulleys. Any cracking, noise, or excessive play, and it’s time to replace these! Oil leaks such as valve cover gaskets etc can break down the rubber such as on the drive belts and cause it to wear and break prematurely. The best part of this kit is that it includes a new idler pulley! Be sure to torque the tensioner and idler pulleys to spec and never have to worry about replacing them again!

Works for my BMW e91 with N52
Follow FCP's DIY video and replacement is easy. Replaced mine as a precaution because I noticed some leak around the oil filter housing gasket. However, I noticed that the belt and tensioner did not have any oil on them after disassembly. Did it anyways because everything was pulled out.
