Fan whines a little bit more than stock. Sounds like a quiet air raid siren winding down. Not terrible but the fan works. Just down one star for it.

Ordered this for the 2001 E38 735i. Fits great, works perfectly, not too loud or anything. I didnt bother cutting it to match or customising, just bolted right up and plugged in. Very happy, thank you!

Perfect for my 2001 E39 M5. Once summer hit, I found my coolant temperatures were creeping up and I lost AC in heavy traffic. Aux fan wasn't working, replaced with this. Perfect fit. Quiet in operation, some noise from exterior, can't be heard from interior. Sounds like a jet engine powering down when you turn off the car, which I enjoy for the giggles.

I hit a (flying) bird on the highway a while ago, and it went straight through my kidney grille and destroyed the original aux fan. My A/C hasn't been working at idle, and the cooling system has been working overtime in traffic lately, and as soon as I replaced this part, that was all fixed. Perfect fitment as always. While this fan is for the 5er e39, it mounts perfectly into a 01 e38 740i. It's also much cheaper than the e38 aux fan. Works perfect; nice to have a working aux fan in my car.

Works great and is completely silent, just like the original BMW part when new.

This is the 3 wire fan, which was a perfect fit for my 02 540i.

Fits perfectly. Quieter than the OEM. No reason to the buy OEM part, this is just as good.
