Question Posted by David
What information is required to register this battery? For example, what is its strength in amp-hours?

Assuming your question pertains to a BMW. If so aftermarket batteries do not require battery specs to be entered during battery registration. That is only required for Genuine replacement batteries.

There is no way for us to determine battery size by VIN. You will need to identify the currently installed battery. There are three possible group sizes for your year and model 94R, 49, and 48.

Is this the battery I need for my 2008 BMW 328xi? Current 'original' BMW battery: White case, 12V-90Ah-720A-160RC-720CCA; S61218381765, AW XXXX764, 118668-10 DE. 7.5" H x 7" W x 14" L.

The battery Ah and CCA specs are for a Group 48 battery. Unfortunately, cannot determine whether it's an AGM or standard battery based on the other information. However, you can switch from AGM to conventional and back no problem via the battery registration procedure that is required after replacing the battery in your vehicle.
