Question Posted by a customer
I'm replacing the battery in my 2007 MB E320 Bluetec. What steps are necessary to replace the battery besides just the physical removal and installation? Will I need to reset anything or do I need to have some sort of interim power applied while doing the replacement?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Your Mercedes does not require coding after a battery replacement.
Question Posted by Mark
I cannot figure out what size my current battery is. Here are some numbers seen on my battery: V4 6942912-08 18887.000.000 597426 10 - 6114-6942912-08 I cannot find matches for these numbers on either of your battery listings. Thanks for your help in figuring out what size I should get.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
6114-6942912-08 / 6942912-08 = 61146942912 = 61146971370 which is a power distribution box. This is the part that connects to the positive battery terminal and does not correlate to a battery part number or battery size. You may need to remove this box in order to see information printed on the battery.

will it fit BMW 2013 Activehybrid 3? The recommended Ah is 92 and I think this battery has 94 Ah. So confused.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes. It's the same battery size. The AH is not as important since the battery requires registration via the IBS once installed.

I have a 2010 bmw 528i xdrive, the current battery inside is 95R. Would this 49 be able to fit in place of the current battery? Thanks in advance

We always recommend replacing your battery with the same size that originally came in the vehicle.

Is there a core charge? Can I send my old battery to you for recycling or should I drop it at a local facility?

Question Posted by Theodore
Just checking to be sure this battery fits my 2007 e93? I understand that I will need to have it coded and registered. Thank you
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There are three possible battery sizes for your vehicle, group 94R, group 48, and group 49. You need to visually identify the group size installed in your vehicle before ordering. Upon installation, a battery registration is required.
Question Posted by a customer
I drive an RWD 2008 535i, the fitment notes say "Size 49, replace with same spec as original battery installed," will this work for my vehicle?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
It may, would recommend identifying the battery in your vehicle currently and confirming the fitments.
