I have an 09 335i & my main parts number says 1071 131 141 & I can’t seem to find that match with either of the solenoids you have for sale. Am I just reading the wrong number?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
See if you can get a picture of the main parts list and send it to service@fcpeuro.com. We'll see what we can figure out from there.
Question Posted by Daniel
Hey guys is this the kit for a 2011 335d? Can you point me in the right direction if not...I have this tranny but my cars not listed. Sorry 6HP26.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
We can only truly identify the appropriate solenoids with the transmission main parts list which is on the service plate of the transmission. Even with application guides this is still the only sure fire way to know. See notes in description, find the information on the main parts list on your transmission, and we'll link you to the correct solenoid kit.
Question Posted by a customer
How come I have a 2008 BMW x3 and the kit above (Ref ZF 1068298046) matches my gearbox which is a ZF6HP21X I also have the mechatronic unit out on my workbench. I am confused, as your site says it doesnt match my gearbox ...the number stamped on the side of the Unit is 1068 327 210 and the seporator plate is an A063, It has the following solenoids ....3x yellow, 2x blue and 2x Orange. Could you explain please if this is the correct kit....it difficult to tell as you do not list the PSI/bar which is usually stamped on the top of each Solenoid ...eg: Orange = 0501 214 958 4.7- bar or Blue = 0501 213 959 4.6-Bar...thanks

Per information direct from BMW 2007-2010 X3's in the United States (all of our web fitment is specific for US fitment and does not factor in international fitments) use a GM GA6L45R transmission, not a ZF 6HP21. Please confirm year and model by along with the last 7 of the VIN by emailing service@fcpeuro.com. Solenoids for the 6HP21 are also dictated upon the transmission main parts list (see description for details). BMW apps have been matched up based off the Mechatronic units but there are variations in fitment still which is why it is required to match up the main parts list. Bar rating is an inaccurate method fort matching up solenoids for 6HP transmissions as they have been changed/modified with updated numbers and in some cases their bar ratings are different than the originals.
Question Posted by Cail
How come the title and part number are for 6HP21 and 6HP28 transmissions while the fitment describes these solenoids are for a 6HP19 tans?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
6HP21 and 6HP28 are ZF specific designations. The 6HP21 transmission is an updated 6HP19 transmission. In regards to the BMW applications BMW does not differentiate the difference and refers to both as a GA6HP19Z transmission. Actual fitment of these solenoids needs to be confirmed by the referencing the chart in the description against the main parts list on the product plate on the transmission.
Question Posted by a customer
Is this the right kit for 325i Euro vin number PU81108? Many thanks
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Unfortunately, we cannot verify fitment by VIN as the internal components of the 6HP transmission (in this case the solenoids) can vary from transmission to transmission based off the main parts list which is stamped on the product plate of the transmission. We have an informational guide in the product description which outlines everything you need to know. Once you have the main parts list off the product plate you can compare that against the list provided to 100% verify fitment.

What the difference between E shift and M shift solenoids?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Most of the solenoids are the same. The difference is primarily centered around how the transmission shifts in and out of park. M shift (mechanical) transmissions have a shift linkage. E shift (electronic) transmissions do not have a shift linkage. Therefor e-shift transmissions have additional components to control the park lock.
