Stay cool during the summer months

This AC pressure switch has the main function of preventing excess pressure from building up within the system. A common sign of this switch failing is your AC unit tuning off and on at random resulting in an annoying situation for both you and your passengers.

Worked Like A Charm!!

I have a 2008 VW Rabbit that had the classic symptoms of a bad pressure switch. The AC worked great below 82 degrees. When it got above 82, it would start to chill, then die. I did have one episode where it had stopped, I hit a pot hole and it started working. It was a rainy, muggy night, so I was very thankful. So, on to the replacement. I do a fair amount of work on my cars, so this was within my comfort level. I had the AC system refrigerant evacuated and removed the retaining clip holding the old switch in. A little prying behind the electrical connection with a small screwdriver and it popped right out. I made sure all was clean and lubricated and installed the new switch. The system was recharged and I had about 49 degree air coming out of the vents, but that was in the garage with no heat load. I can further report that it was 97 degrees and humid here yesterday and it worked perfectly. Total time for the job was about an hour and a half, including discharge and recharge of the system. Thank you FCP Euro for, not only stocking the product, but also the fast shipping. Ordering was as easy as it gets. All in all, I'm very pleased.
