Rubber retention, great for N55
Swapped my plugs in my N55 135i yesterday with this socket- for the price, I was expecting some compromise over the "BMW Approved" part- but if there was any, I can't figure out what it is. The rubber gasket easily retains the plug- arguably a bit too well. That said, I didn't have any problems with the socket coming off my extension as others have reported, and I'd rather the retention be "too good" than not good enough. On the whole, very impressed, doubly so when considering the savings vs BMW's tool.

As others have mentioned, the socket fits a little too snug to the spark plugs which makes the socket come off of the extension. To combat this, I just added a little grease to the side of the spark plug before inserting. Can't beat the price compared to the other absurdly priced socket.

For being a less expensive socket, I expected to use it once and discard it or have the rubber inside not release, but was I wrong. The rubber inside the socket seems very durable yet releases the spark plug inside the tube with relative ease, just a little wiggle and it comes right off. It won't make me stop buying Snap-On tools, but I was impressed with the socket for the price.

12 point spark plug socket
Great product. Glad I got my plugs here because you guys advised that a regular spark plug socket would not be thin enough. Thanks.

Does what is supposed to. But recommend removing the inner rubber ring or you'll never get the socket off the plugs

Good Value, But Has It's Down Sides
Can't really complain about price, way cheaper than other options. Unfortunately the trade off as others have mentioned is that the rubber is so tight that the socket is prone to getting stuck onto the spark plug, not fun at all. I ended up MIG welding the socket to an old extension arm to permanently fix the problem.

14mm 12-point spark plug socket QUALITY PART
Part was a quarter of the cost other sites charged for same thing....and they don't have a lifetime guarantee!!! This is handy to have in the trunk for swap outs.

This guy works well and fits just right. It has a rubber seal that helps grab hold of the spark plugs. The problem I had was it liked to seal to the plugs so well it kept popping off the socket and I would have to use a needle nose to pull it off the new plug. I think a magnetic one would probably work better but you can't beat it.
