Saab Brake Hose Parts
Saab first appeared on the auto market over 50 years ago out of their mother country, in Scandinavia. They innovated on their obsession with ingenuity and distinguished designs. Saab has always been valued for their inventiveness in all of their products and vehicles, and even their brake hose parts and components. Your Saab’s brake hose is flexible and brawny, but a brake hose can also become worn and can gain leaks, making your driving on public roads dangerous. If a brake hose, which links the brake lines to your calipers are showing symptoms of wearing or leaks, you get it replaced immediately. If you wait you will extend the possible damage and safety. By looking some simple to follow steps, you can get your Saab back on the road, easily. The first thing to do is loosen your Saab’s wheel lugs with a lug wrench to take off the tire in front of the faulty brake hose. Do not take off the lugs yet. Raise your Saab with a jack and put it on a jack stand to take off your tire. Take off the wheel lugs, as well as the tire. With a rag, clean the oil, grease and other debris off of both ends of the brake hose and line. Grasp the hose fitting with a back-up wrench and then detach the brake line nut with a flare nut wrench. This will keep you from unintentionally bending the line and rounding off the brake line nut. Put in the end of the brake line as soon as you detach it and make sure to use a small plastic bag that fits around the end and fasten it with a rubber band. FCP Euro has a spread-out inventory of Saab brake hose parts and components, including all parts for Saab’s vehicles.

You can now take off the clip that is grasping the end of the brake hose in the mounting bracket with a pair of pliers. Detach the other end of the brake hose from the caliper with a wrench and make sure to get rid of the two sealing washers. Position the new brake hose beginning at the caliper with your new copper washers. Put the other end on your Saab’s bracket and fasten it with the retaining clip. Now, mount the brackets in position. Remove the plug from the end of the brake line and then link the line to the brake hosing by hand to prevent any cross threading. Secure the nut with the back-up and flare nut wrenches as you read about earlier. Put the tire back on and lower your Saab.
