BMW Tools and Hardware Parts

BMW has recurrently put quality at the top of their list when creating vehicles, which has been a benefit in growing the company into the auto front-runner they are today. They have always shaped vehicles with lustrous designs, while keeping up with the same quality for all of their product lines. BMW is still creating quality within their product line, and more specifically, with their tools and hardware parts and components. There are tools and methods that have proved to be helpful when dealing with your BMW’s stuck bolts, screws and other fasteners that have accumulated rust, damaged threads, or broken heads. Take note though that working in small spaces like the recessed flange on your BMW’s transmission oil pan may limit the use of the possible steps. This first ting you need to do is jack up the front of your BMW with a floor jack and support it safely on your jack stands. Tap a six or 12-point deep socket over the head of the oil pan bolt you need to remove. The socket should have a diameter just a bit larger than the bolt head's to make a proper fit. You can use a hammer to force the socket onto the bolt. Loosen the oil pan bolt by attaching a ratchet to the socket and rotating the bolt counterclockwise. Remove the damaged oil pan bolt from the socket using a pair of slip joint pliers. Drill a little hole on the head of the stripped bolt or the surface of the bolt, if the head has broken flush. The hole you need to drill should be just deep enough to let the tip of the extractor stud or screw to fit into the hole. Tap the tip of the screw extractor on the hole using a hammer in the tip of the screw removal bit, depending on the kind of extractor you have. Whether you are looing for specific BMW Tool Parts or BMW Bulb Parts, FCP Euro has them. If you have questions about BMW’s tool and hardware parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website are always in place for any support.

Put a socket of the proper size on the extractor head or use a pair of vise grips pliers, and turn the oil pan bolt free by turning the extractor counterclockwise. If you have the screw-in type extractor, turn the extractor counterclockwise to lock the thread on the tip of the extractor over the stripped bolt and force the bolt out as you keep turning the extractor counterclockwise. Take out the stripped bolt from the extractor with a pair of pliers and then use a drill bit with a diameter slightly smaller as the bolt's diameter you are taking out. Drill a hole on the bolt deep enough to get to the tip of the stripped bolt. Tap the bolt's thread shell remaining using a hammer and a punch or similar tool to get out the rest of the bolt. Make sure not to damage the transmission threads. Replace the stripped bolt with a new oil-pan bolt. You can now take down your BMW. FCP Euro's educated and accomplished call center staff is always available and ready to answer any questions you may have.
