Audi Brake Disc Parts

Audi is a world-class brand, known for producing some of the best luxury vehicles in the market. They are positioned in Germany, where they have created a great standing that has brought Audi to hold a highly respected name. Their inventive designs and engineering are a stand out behind every Audi vehicle and product, including brake disc parts and components. If your Audi has worn out brakes, this can bring about squeaky sounds when driving, as well as create an unsafe driving environment. You can change them right from your own home, as this is one of the easier DIY jobs. First, lift the front of your Audi with a jack and put jack stands below to hold it. Using a tire iron, take off the lug nuts and pull your wheels off. Put them aside and use a ratchet and socket to take off the two bolts on the back of your caliper. In most Audis, these bolts need a 7 mm socket. Now, push the caliper casing off of the rotor and examine the rotor to make sure that it is not damaged and has no scratches or grooves. Check by running your hand on the back and front of the rotor. If the rotors feel damaged, they will have to be shaved or replaced. FCP Euro has a plentiful assortment of Audi brake disc parts and components, including all of your general Audi parts.

Remove your Audi’s older brake pads from the caliper. Numerous Audis use an adhesive to keep the pads onto the calipers, so you may have to pry them off. Use a brake caliper tool push the piston in the caliper back into place. This will make space for the newer and thicker brake pads. Place your new brake pads into the caliper and then put the caliper onto the rotor. Bolt the caliper into its place. Lower the front end of your Audi and lift the back end of it with the jack now. Use your tire iron to take off the lug nuts on the rear wheels, as well as the wheels. Take out the two bolts in the back of your Audi’s caliper housing. In newer Audis, the piston is managed electronically; this means it will keep pressure on the rotor. In order to retract the piston, you will need a VAG tool. If you have this tool, use it to retract the piston. If you do not, buy it or have your brakes replaced by a professional. Take off your Audi’s brake pads and replace them with the new ones, using a brake caliper tool if it is not electronically managed. Check the rotors to make sure they are in good shape and put the caliper back onto the rotor.
