Volvo Side Marker Light Adapter Kit - 9133609KIT

I wired these so they function as turn signals, though they're otherwise on constantly because I run with my lights on at all times. Daniel Stern Lighting has a good tutorial online for the wiring part, but I'll tell you this: Don't bother with trying to fish the wires from the front of the car to the side marker lights (or vice versa). Just remove the plastic wheelwell shields so you can feed the wires exactly where you want them. I taped my wires to the inside (unexposed side) of those plastic shields using a few little strips of duct tape. Very happy with this purchase.

Nice addition to my vehicle.

Light assemblies are Taiwan mfg and of high quality, fully equal to Volvo OEM in my opinion, fit & finish are excellent. Wire leads and connectors are Volvo items & high quality as well. Lamps are OSRAM so no quality issues either. I choose to make the electrical connections under the dash, duplicating as much as possible the marker light wiring shown in my Green Book. Accordingly wire routing was a bit more involved but much more cleaner than would be otherwise. The length of supplied wire leads was more than enough. Removing the Volvo emblems and adhesive (without damaging the paint) from the fenders was the hardest part of the job.

I was repainting my 1994 940 in December and it was decision time when it came to the emblems. The little "VOLVO" plate that covers the hole in each fender had to be removed for the repaint and decided I might as well do the car up as Volvo intended and add a little margin of safety. I'm satisfied with the end result. This kit is pretty decent. It includes two wires per light with the harness on the fender side that plugs into the light itself and, on the other end, pigtails to make the connection in the front. You have to snake the wires through the fender, which isn't difficult if you remove the turn signals and have a wire snake. It would have been nice if Volvo had made it a plug-and-play install on the 940 but it does require a connection being made. With the quick connects it's a snap. I used quick connects to make the connections behind the turn signals. They work as intended just by connecting to the ground and positive of the turn signals. You could do this entire job with no tools and only a coat hanger really. This kit includes aftermarket Taiwan-made lenses and everything else is Volvo OEM. For the money, it's a good deal and am glad to have done it. At what the dealer would have charged for a new "VOLVO" plate to cover the hole, it's well worth just doing the lights and having an extra margin of safety. The Taiwan lens housings don't compare to Hella but they're perfectly adequate on a 20 year old car and are visually identical aside from markings. The fit is good and my 940 required no modifications to the hole to fit. If you want the OEM's, FCP sells those too but these are fine and make the kit a good deal more affordable if you're on a budget. The amber light really sets off the fender nicely and I like the look compared to the old plate that covered the hole, especially with fresh paint.

I liked this kit its cool . i took it to a buddy of mine that put them on for me , he's know how and taught me . its was very easy to do . now i will do my next car on my own ! its very good price and another good FCP product .

Im happy with this lights, I drive more safety when i make line change

Easy kit to install, Looks great, and the add safety justified the purchase. After a few weeks I noticed moisture inside the side marker and re-adhered the rubber and its good as new. Decent kit overall but at the price it works just fine.

OEM harnesses, and is simple plug and play! Looks great, and adds a little security when changing lanes.
