BMW Control Arm Front Right Upper (E39) - Lemforder 31121092610

Includes pressed in rubber bushing, OEM replacement component

The tension strut/traction strut is an important part of your BMW's front suspension. It is designed to keep the entire strut assembly under constant tension. It consists of a steel outer ball joint which faces downward in the wheel spindle and a rubber bushing which is bolted to the subframe.

Usually the inner bushing is the most common component to fail. Some customers opt to replace the bushing with a new one. This involved removing the control arm, pressing the worn bushing out, and pressing a new bushing in. Without the proper tools this can be a real hassle. Not to mention that the ball joint doesn't last much longer after doing all this work necessitating replacement of the control arm anyway. We feel that is is more effective to replace the entire control arm assembly in one piece. Doing so will ultimately offer the longest service life of the component.

Oem Quality

What you would expect from Lemforder, good quality parts. Had the latest updated bushing and comes with a new lock nut. Spend the money on the good parts and do it once.

Great Product!

This traction strut (aka thrust arm) had the latest revision of the bushing. Fit was perfect and price was great
