Volvo Steering Coupling Parts

Volvo made its first vehicle in 1927 and since has thrived from a small city industry to an auto market global leader, and more specifically with their Steering Coupling parts and components. The steering shaft in your Volvo connects the steering column to the steering box. This shaft is a straight piece of steel with couplings at either end that join the shaft to its respective components. The couplings can wear out over time, and that will start to transmit vibrations into the steering wheel. If left unchecked, you could have difficulty steering and could get into an accident. FCP can help and has a huge line up of updated Volvo Steering Coupling parts including, Volvo Steering Coupling Lower Parts, Volvo Power Steering Coupling Parts, Volvo Steering Coupling Parts.

To fix the problem, replace the couplings from your Volvo. But first, remove the old couplings and then open up the hood. Locate the coupling that connects the steering linkage to the steering column, which is on the driver's side of the vehicle, underneath the brake booster. Unbolt the steering coupling from the steering column, using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Repeat the process for the coupling connecting the steering box to the steering shaft. Push the steering shaft up toward the column and then pull it off of the steering box. Remove the steering shaft from the vehicle and set it to the side. Unbolt the steering couplings from the steering shaft, using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket, then pull them off the shaft.
